Type of orientation representation (P-CHAN-00177)
P-CHAN-00177 | Type of orientation representation
Description | The operator uses this parameter to define whether the values programmed in the NC program with A, B, C or I, J, K are read as coordinate or angle values when complete kinematic transformation is active, or whether they are interpreted as corresponding vector components. Alternatively, the type of orientation display is defined in the NC program by #ORI MODE[..].
Parameter | ori.mode | |
Data type | STRING | |
Data range | ANGLE: VECTOR_ABC: VECTOR_IJK: | A, B, C or I, J, K represent coordinate or angle values (default). A, B, C represent vector components. Accordingly, 5- or 6-axis machining then takes place depending on the activated transformation. I, J, K are vector components (only permitted with 6-axis kinematics, e.g. robots). |
Dimension | ---- | |
Default value | ANGLE | |
Remarks | Note that the I, J, K coordinate values are used for circle programming in compliance with DIN 66025. This means that circle programming in combination with vector component programming via I, J, K is not permissible. |
