Pre-compensation

Volumetric Compensation is regarded as an additional function block in addition to the conventional geometric compensations to enhance machine accuracy even further. Conventional compensations include:

Leadscrew error compensation
Cross compensation
Plane compensation

For this reason, it is advisable to activate these conventional compensations in advance, i.e. to execute a pre-compensation and then add the measurement and finally apply Volumetric Compensation.
