The component models, templates and interfaces available in the TwinStore enable simulation tool users to model and perform high-quality simulation for virtual design, validation and commissioning.

Users select the components they need from the virtual product catalogs of the companies represented in the TwinStore. Extensive documentation is stored for each simulation model, which the user can use to obtain information about the functionality depicted in the model. Thanks to the seamless integration of TwinStore components in ISG-virtuos, these and, if necessary, other customer-specific components are then combined and used directly in the simulation tool to form the digital twin of the individual plant: Be it for a virtual commissioning or also parallel to operation for e.g. training purposes or service cases.

Suppliers from various industries already provide virtual components in the TwinStore, which can be used to create virtual plants within a very short time. Companies from the following industries are represented, e.g.

• Component supplier: Development of virtual component models for intelligent fieldbus participants (drives, RFID systems, camera and measurement systems, etc.), taking know-how protection into account. Correct behavior of virtual components on the fieldbus with respect to interfaces, operating modes and parameters based on their component know-how.
• Simulation specialist: Provision of simulation libraries for highly specialized (process) simulations.
