We are excited to present the latest release of our simulation software ISG-virtuos version 3.6. With this version, we have introduced a number of improvements and new functions aimed at making your simulation projects even more efficient and reliable. Here is an overview of the most important new features.
With the focus on user-friendliness
In the new version 3.6, you have everything at a glance with just one click! Important functions have been grouped into clearly arranged functional areas and, thanks to the new favorites tab in the merged Model Libray and the new “Pie Menu” in the 3D view, you can save frequently used blocks.
New tools and blocks for efficient simulation
ISG-virtuos v3.6 also offers you many innovations in the area of simulation and modeling workflows. With new blocks such as the Slider Crank mechanism or the Lightgrid block for light barriers, you can design your simulations in even greater detail. With the Dynamic Port Manipulation feature, you can manipulate model block ports dynamically during the simulation, e.g. by adding or multiplying values - more customization freedom, fewer simulation restarts!
New connectors and even better performance
Version 3.6 also brings new features and improvements to the control connection and co-simulation.
In the area of co-simulation, for example, complex simulations can now also be carried out on Windows-based systems and B&R controllers. In addition to the now available “Threaded Mode with Sync” for the PLCSIM Connector, there have been extensive enhancements to the Connector Manager. Connectors such as OPC/UA, Acontis EC Simulator, ADS Connector and TC-Variable Connector have been added and the integration of B&R systems via Powerlink and TCP/IP or B&R PVI Connector is now also possible.
Automation made easy
The extended JavaScript interface in ISG-virtuos v3.6 is another highlight. You can now not only create models directly via code, but also automate complex configurations and settings.
There are also exciting new possibilities in the area of C# programming. The new interface for a simple logic structure is ideal for rapid prototyping of new fieldbus devices.
